Benign Paroxsymal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), or as it is more commonly known ‘vertigo’, can be quite debilitating and worrying for someone to experience for the first time.
It is the sudden onset of symptoms such as dizziness and/or nausea and often, this can lead people to pursue appointments with Ear, Nose and Throat specialists, or even in Neurology or Dentistry. Unfortunately, this can commonly be to no avail and leave a person not knowing the cause of their symptoms or what to do if they are to return.
At Live Better Physiotherapy we can assist with strategies to reverse the onset of acute symptoms (just as someone is experiencing the worst of the dizziness and nausea), helping them get back to their everyday life. Further to this, we have had great success through education and collaboration with numerous individuals in developing longer-term strategies to implement that can minimise the chance of Vertigo returning.
